The EP From the island to the mountain released on Oddtime Records features the tracks Jah Sunshine (with MC COALMAN), Timeless and Inner Peace.
The Blockwerk Sound varies from speedy Electronix and Groove to Drum n Bass and Soul, Reggae, Dub and Dancehall. Musical influences from eastern countries appear frequently. Listening to a Blockwerk live gig is somehow like listening to a skillfully arranged DJ Set, by a DJ who is willing to cross lines. The band's live performing style is a combination of thoroughly arranged clubmusic, composition and improvisation. Since its foundation Blockwerk has gone through many different musical phases and influences. |
