G-Stone Online Selection
The digital musical revolution of which G-Stone recordings has been at the forefront offers the possibility of releasing the true unsung heroes of underground dance scene. G-Stone recordings recognises the fact that as much good music is not released as is actually released. The cold stone facts are that economics plays a huge role in the release of physical music, not necessarily the love or enjoyment the music may offer. With this in mind G-Stone recordings has started a digital only imprint where economics plays a lesser role. The music of which many would miss out on finally gets a chance to be enjoyed and experienced. Of course high flying DJ’s, producers and label owners Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister have to endorse and verify the quality that appears through the G-Stone ‘Online Selection’. That itself is a true and definitive test of distinguished music we feel. If Dorfmeister and Kruder can play the tracks at their many worldwide DJ festivals and gigs, then the label can release through the G-Stone ‘Online Selection’ imprint. We hope this brings new opportunities to artists and music fans alike to experience and explore new exciting music.
Richard Dorfmeister himself has personally selected ‘Number 1’ of the new G-Stone Online Selection from local Vienna chumps ‘Cusmos’.
Cusmos are Herwig Kusatz & Karl Moestl. Connected cosmically by their love of high class electronic club music. Walkner Moestl, no stranger to releasing quality music through the years is causing quite a stir with his new ‘Defusion’ album. Along with Herwig Kusatz aka ‘Hewoja’ passionate DJ and producer, they both set out to reveal a new and expanding galaxy of club music.
Adding to the evolution of this particular universe and release is Brazilian female vocalist and MC Joyce Muniz. With co operations with Stereotyp (Man Recordings, G-Stone), I-Wolf (Sofa Surfers, Klein Records) and Shanti Roots (Vienna Scientists) she once again adds her very sensual and sexy hybrid rapping style. With ‘Garoto’ Joyce catches a slick tech groove and adds more than a little Portuguese love. A track destined to heat up the dance floor or add a step to your walk we think.
In addition, Dr Richard Dorfmeister commissions Steven Cobby aka ‘Doc Roc’ better known as ‘Fila Brazilia’, world renowned purveyor of ‘beats extraordinaire’ for remix duty for ‘Garoto’. A more kicking drum for beat lovers and DJ’s, the ‘Solid Doc Rerub’ is flat out floor friendly and produced with ‘ladies wiggling their hips’ in mind.
So let the fun begin. Two exciting tracks to start new and exciting times with the G-Stone Online Selection. Stick around, much more to come very soon.
