Ben Horn isn't just one person but two: Norwegian breakbeat dj, Mikkas, and Lars B, who have a long experience as a jazz dj. Together the electronic duo fuses the hard electronically produced sounds with organic textures. Ben Horn produces tunes with melodies, with the focus fixed on funk and a danceable groove, not just long "dj-tool" workouts. Get A Groove Going demonstrates some of their skills as great musicians, with lots of live instruments they really get the groove going. Inflatable funk is a fusion of funk and broken beat, with an incredible flow. On the flip there are two remixes, one by the Danish upcommer Dj Badboe, a new funk and break beat producer, and one by Swedish Jivaro who have taken the tech-dub approach to jazz.
