The Outset: The raw yet irresistably-catchy "Original Mix" seduces with its relentless Motor Beat and sexy vocal passages. Inexorably, it blazes its way towards a bitter-sweet orchestral finale. In a frenzy, you arrive at the haunted castle where the velvety "Upandaway Mix" lies in wait. The wobbling synth bass and melancholic harmonies entice you into a perfect "New Romantic" touch. Suddenly, a backdoor opens up and the tale takes a dramatic twist: the "Konsorten Mix" reveals itself to be an electroid Italo-Disco vocoder rogue with dramatic strings adding to the tension. Attempting to escape, you finally run straight into a snare. The "Nightmare Mix", with its subsonic basslines takes up the chase, chains rattling, and you feel its rotten breath down your neck. Ghastly shapes and figures enter the sallow light from all directions to applaud a truly harrowing finale.... |

have a little time, make a little love. are you making me an offer? that's the new coup by the "sultans of swing". they've got about as much to do with dire straits as they have with goth rock, but those fellas are childish enough to make a gothic cover complete with haunted house and nosferatu's shadow. the first single, "summerbreeze", was pure deephouse while fresh from the pressing room the new EP, make a little love, is ..well, simply sexy!

"summerbreeze" was the burner last year, now the "sultans" are back with their follow-up "[make] a little love". 4 mixes are on offer which will surely follow on seamlessly from the success of its predecessor.

this record is very tidy and well produced although it is not so mainstream and commercial as last year's debut release "summerbreeze".

the "sultans" new release on top10records. for us the "original- and the nightmare-mix" - respect. with a perfect 'yello' reminder!

they became famous with their nr.1 single "summerbreeze". their second hit is different. the new trax are a more electroid and the house rhythm is not as dominant as before. but it has still climed also at the top in bosnia!

the new record is great, it's better than "summerbreeze" was. faves are the "nightmare mix" and the "upandaway mix", but the original is wicked too. this really is special stuff!

It must be the sexy scream-sample (could be from King Kong) that makes the "nightmare-mix" to everybodys darling.

here is the new 12" from the "sultans of swing" with dark dancefloor breaks and nu-wavey melodies, all tied together with a male-female harmony vocal and a haunting refrain. the 3 remixes takes it even deeper into an electroid Italo-disco vein with vocodered vocals.

lovely vocal treatment on the male vocal. it compliments the track very well. overall the tracks are top shelf, high quality. the huge reverb on the female vocal sits well in the mix. a fav has got to be the "upandaway mix", what a dreamy-ness of the intro! spins in texas, for sure!!!

their second is a little bit darker and not so housy as summerbreeze. exceptionally good quality work.
