Berlin actor and poet Friedrich Liechtenstein has created a small milestone in German electropop with the EP "Terrestrial Waves", a successful development of Liechtensteinīs warmly entertaining and lyrical electro pop style, even if the sounds produced by Arnold Kasar (Atomhockey/Nylon) and Nicholas Bussmann are notably clearer and rawer. The wordplay and sampling mixes are also there. On "Strawberry Red" the incomparable singer Barry White is paid tribute. "Du kommst den Gang lang" is about a nightclub in Berlin. "Terrestrial Waves" undoubtably has something to do with Berlinīs famous television tower. "Every piece is a little bit of time and space. One senses the eighties, the seventies, one hears club music from the nineties and suddenly a picture unfolds, and I like that a lot," says Liechtenstein.
