Its NOT the First LP

For those who consider themselves HUBA fans and appreciate their wonderfully soulful debut LP, HUBA, be aware that the second release doesn't seem to compare to the shear brilliance of the first release. I wouldn't go so far as to say Arriving is a sophomore flop, but it does leave something to desired. Arriving doesn't seem to have the consistently-themed R&B musical gems sprinkled about the first LP; songs such as Mary, The Midwife, and I'll Only Shine for example, that make the first album a solid LP from front to back.

The Arriving LP seems to see the group expanding beyond the R&B feel of the first album and venturing in the realms of gospel, rock and pop to a greater extent. Nonetheless, Tuomas Kaila's vocals still remain impressive as he continues to deliver with his distinctive voice, timing and musical range as only he can.
