19EIGHTYONE RECORDS is the new label of vienna based musician Pieter Gabriel. Recieving some airplay with his home-recordings on austrias all important radio station FM4 under the name of 1981 as well as getting some acclaim for his rare live-performances solo or with band in the spring of 2009 he decided to use his real name for his art. As theres a strong artistical will and vision involved in the way he does his music it made total sense to found his own label and handle it accordingly. Summer 2009 will see the release of Voices followed in Fall by the album City Of Last Things recorded with renown austrian musician and producer Herwig Zamernik (Naked Lunch). Right now there are no releases by other artists on the radar, but as they say ? you never know!
