We do hope you are enjoying the music streams from Soul Seduction HQ. It’s a lot of work on our behalf, but we think you guys are worth it. Hopefully too all new listeners, all should be plain and simple with regards to getting a stream and hearing the music on Radio Days. Just click on your preferred headphones. If you have any problems not hearing the music, drop me an email here and maybe I can suggest an alternative player or find the problem. I can’t recall ever having to deal with someone that couldn’t hear Radio Days before, but you never know? Just in case you can’t hear, do let us know, maybe we can fix it quickly.
VERY IMPORTANT! Make sure you have allowed ‘pop ups’ on your browser for the Soul site. We don’t have ‘pop ups’ at the store so to some of you this may be the first pop you have encountered at Soul Seduction. The pop up is the active playlist of the stream and you will need it to access the stream.

Don’t forget also to keep telling all your friends about the music that you guys like to listen to and what you buy on a regular basis. We’d like to think we can get a few new customers out of Radio Days too. Feel free to spread the word about Radio Days 2007. Ashi at the controls! Big up the ask! massive, big up Dr Aschengold, aiiiight.
It’s an honour for us here at Soul Seduction to have friend of the family ‘Ashi’ back online with another great mix and selection for Radio Days. One of the reasons we have a pretty damn decent webstore here is because of our man Ashi and the rest of the ask!/Matrixware team. Software, IT, PC developers and experts by day, and big music fanatics and DJ’s by night. Sounds like a match made in heaven for us, and Ashi along with the team always do a great job maintaining the store.
Dr Aschengold has been spending more time on the turntables at various joints in Vienna these past years and is always on cue with great music. In fact, I’m thinking, did Ashi build this webstore to further his DJ career? Anyway, Ashi is rapidly turning into one of my fav DJ’s in this town, and this mix I’m sure will show you why. Proper party music from one of the nicest guys in Vienna!

Some of the most sought after promos in the Soul Seduction office are the Box of Dub compilations from Soul Jazz records. Mad rush to get a promo before they are all gone! Now, many of you will know about Dubstep already, it’s a genre that has really blossomed the last years. Its roots started in London in the early 2000’s and it has finally found its way into the limelight these last years. No longer a underground thing, Dubstep is finally here and it is here to stay. Soul Jazz have been championing high quality Dubstep from many of the best producers in the UK for a while now, and we asked Daniel here at the Soul office and part of the Dubfiction crew here in Vienna to put a few of his favourites together for Radio Days. It’s deep, it’s dark, it’s Dubstep. Let the head nodding begin.

And now for a brother in Buenos Aires, Argentina, who kindly sent us a sublime selection of music that has found his way from Vienna to his post box. Nothing nicer than the postman delivering another batch of fresh new music to play with, and Federico certainly puts it to good use with a sexy spaced out deep tech house mix for us here at Radio Days. Deepness indeed and one of my personal favourite mixes this Radio Days.

strictly digital 01. Quality selection and mix by Philipp Dorfmeister, younger brother of Dr Richard, the other Dorfmeister. Philipp is in charge of the webstore here at Soul Seduction and also the digital distribution of many renowned and reputable labels that we deal with.
Now this is serious music selection, I had a lot of fun going through these tracks and linking them up to the store. I’m sure this will be one of the favourite mixes we do this year at Radio Days for you guys so please stick around for this.
Great thing about this mix is that all the titles can be found as quality digital downloads as well as physical items at the store. We know that many music minded folks be them DJ’s or just music fans want their music as a file for the many devices that they listen to music with. Our pleasure to offer you some great music in the format you wish.

The mix you were not supposed to hear? So jazzy this mix nearly got banned. Prohibition of jazz in the office one day and all jazzy mixes were to be destroyed. But I broke the rules and kept this ‘hush hush’ mix from Rene here in the office, and loaded it when no one was looking. I expect to fired immediately and probably Rene too. Anyway check this jazzy mutha out. Top stuff and big up the funky dude with the beard, that’s some serious shiz going on. Cheers as always to jazzy Rene.

Another that pops by the office every now and then is DJ Nanou aka Anne Buffard. French passport but a clandestine operative in Italy, part of the Electrosacher cake collective in Trieste. Some of the female DJ’s really are playing the part in music and club culture and Anne has had her finger on button of good music for a very long time now. I think it’s great that equal opportunities are arising for both male and female DJ’s out there. Not so many years ago you would shudder if you saw a female behind the turntables, but not any more. Anne dropped this mix of many months ago while in the Soul office but it has been a huge favourite of mine, and a mix I have played many times over the months. Heavy tunes indeed.

Opening Radio Days this year is Soul customer Gary Poter aka George Koltsiou. First time on Radio Days for George but a very nice selection and mix and one we have been enjoying here beforehand. George is a 26 year old Musician (composer, guitarist, producer), he also DJ’s in several bars and clubs in Athens playing a wide variety of styles including funk, breaks, hip hop, soul, jazz, latin, afro, electronic or as he likes to call it Eclectic Grooves Electrostyled & Funkified. A really nice freestyle mix tastefully put together with much class. I know you will enjoy this mix.

Max is back! Max took part in Radio Days 2K5 and was very willing to return for another hour of what he calls "Emotional digitalism". And we are more than happy for him to be back with some more electro club culture from our Italian brother. Max is definitely one for sharing, be it on Radio City during the day, or spinning great records in northern Italy by night. Another tight selection from a soul customer for many years now, heavy tunes indeed.

We put together a few choice choons from the Soul office that we’ve come to love over the last months. For individual mood moments, music that is gently effervescent, and that we are always happy to hear while we are hard at work with the sometimes manic music days at the office. Some real gems we picked out too like the excellent Kareem´s Musicshop release and the brilliant Rodney Hunter track. We sometimes work long and hard into the night here at Soul Seduction, but we always have great music to keep us company. The very best perk of the job I guess. We hope you enjoy this tasty little selection of some of our favourites.

Of course we know how many G-Stoners we have out there, so we better put up a few of our favourite tracks of recent times from the label. This mix was selected and put together for us by Beno (Selecta Bence) who works in the digital department here at the Soul Sedcution office. The mix was for various podcast sites to help promote the new releases from the label. Heavy selection from the Selecta!

Irma records has always been a firm favourite at the Soul Seduction store with our customers, and label dude Frank Siccardi helped us pick this selection a while ago with some of the Latin and percussive bits he recommended. Some dance floor bombs that have had many a pretty girl dancing, I can vouch for that.

Frank is also responsible for the impressive ‘Sambass’ comps and the last one Sambass 4 still a big, big seller. Big up the Irma massive and Frank.

New crew in Vienna, but we like to show our support for new aspiring producers and DJ’s as well as the established headz in the scene. Peter along with this group of musicians and producers can be seen and heard around Vienna playing ultra cool music at various parties, I’m sure you guys will enjoy this selection, Peter dropped this mix in to Soul office a while a go and I know many of these titles are big Soul Seduction favourites for a while now. So I thought why not give it some rotation over the course of radio Days 2007.

We’ve decided that our feet are a little tired from all the dancing we are doing at Radio days, so we shall take this opportunity to take it down for a little while and relax with some soothing songs. We know many at the Store are not just party people or DJ’s, but music people that like to buy genuine new song based material. Alex here in Soul office has kindly put together a tasty selection of some great songs that we have enjoyed over the last months. So sit back, pull up a nice cup or glass of your preferred beverage or drink and enjoy some superb and very sophisticated songs. Enjoy.

Now, we received one mix via the post, and within a few seconds of playing it here at the office heads were turning. The Soul-Tec guys from Wals (near Salzburg) guys opened their mix with the Henrik Schwarz remix of Mari Boines ‘Vuoi Vuoi Me’, so we just had to take note. It’s a huge track and we knew right away that these guys were on it. A lot of our favouite tracks over the past year made up a lot of the mix so it is a great pleasure to introduce and bring to you the mix of Gerd and Robert Eichriedler on Radio Days, Soul Seduction customers who obviously have brilliant taste in new exciting music.

This mix was another big favourite with the staff team here from Radio Days 2005 and we decided to bring it back for another outing. Our man in Istanbul, the man they call ‘Ouz’ aka Oguz Demirturk 27, strictly Gemini, living in heart of where jazz once met Raki. Playing music for folks to get down and then up again. The man serves jazz, downtempo, funky beats and too many house flavours to mention. The man always loves to see the change in everything, what time brought, and what brings. Swayzak are James Taylor and David Brown, two top trumps when it comes to making choice electronica. It’s been ten years since I first heard these guys and their recent album ‘Some other country’ for me was a celebration of sorts. It’s fascinating to watch artists grow and mature and develop. There comes a point where we grow up. The new album is their most mature to date.
This was a classy mix to help the promotion of the new album supplied to us by !K7 and one I’ve really enjoyed recently. There are a few titles in the mix that are old and not so easy to find but I still thought this mix and selection was a classic tale that had to be told. Mixed, chipped, chunked and sweated by James Taylor, brilliant.

One of our favourite customers here at Soul Seduction is Anthony Vag from Ioannina, a small city in western Greece. We know he buys very good music always. From 1987 to 1990 Anthony studied sound engineering at Papantonopoulos school of Sound and Vision in Athens Greece, and from 1992 to today he is a audio engineer and also music supervisor at TOP 97,2 FM in Ioannina, Greece and also responsible for the night time playlists. The guy has a great ear for great music. Anthony has various influences from soul to disco and ambient to ethnic and his selection of music for Radio Days 2007 is simply a great musical accompaniment.

One of the big reasons the store is stocked up with great music is because our man Stefan Flicker (Flowkee). The main buyer here at Soul Seduction, he can be found late at night in the office loading and buying the best music for the store. This gives him a distinct advantage as he knows the very good from the not so very good. Consequently I advise you check out this excellent mix as Flowkee is one of the best operators behind two turntables in Vienna along with his musical knowledge. A very slick DJ indeed, and a great selection of epic tech-house.

Jürgen Doppler aka Josefson is a collector of vintage toy robots from the 70’s and a devoted lover of bizarre pop music, paleontology and science fiction. He is working for the science and culture pages of the online magazine derStandard.at where he can luckily reconcile all of his interests, except for the science fiction part where he is still working on that. His selection is a wonderful interstellar pop journey with some of the very best music that Soul Seduction has to offer.

One of the newest members of staff here at Soul Seduction is ‘Phazes’ aka Daniel Berthold. Though he is usually out running, or at Zielpunkt making sure I’m stocked up with top drawer biscuits for another long night session at the Soul office. Anyway, he’s a cool dude and very often gives me tops tips about what’s hot and what’s not with regards to biscuits and the huge amount of music that comes by the office.

One of the favourite customers at the Blackmarket and Soul Seduction store is DJ Shantisan aka Herbert Bachhofer from Wiener Neustadt. DJ Shantisan has done a mix before for us here at Radio Days, and it was very well received with customers and staff alike, so it’s nice to welcome him back for another quality selection. Part of the ‘Salted Soul’ posse, a non-purist Afro grooves, Brazilian rhythms, Downbeat, House and Drum n Bass crew who put on some great parties too! Check them out of you see a party near by.

Lisa is a PR wizard and knows how to connect cool music to cool people. She is responsible for many of the good things at Soul Seduction the last years, our hook ups with Nokia, putting cool parties on in Vienna, and always bringing a smile to Stefan, Ashi, Philipp and myself in the office. She is one of our dearest friends and it’s an honour to have her brilliant selection of exceptional music up on Radio Days this season. We know she is a big music fan, but I was totally blown away by the quality of music she selected. Wow!

A big thank you to Lisa from Soul Seduction for the music, and the always brilliant work attitude and love she gives to the business of music.

A really welcome and nice surprise to receive from a Soul Seduction customer Simone Campari from Venice, a great mix and selection through the post. Just goes to show that we think our customers have exceedingly good taste. Never ceases to surprise me the quality tunes you guys buy on a weekly basis and Simone is no exception to that rule.
Of course it helps being a DJ and selector for top bars in Venice and knowing your stuff. Simone certainly does, he’s on to some big tunes in his mix. During the day time Simone is a teacher in a secondary school, and during the summer (it’s nice to be a teacher) he resides and is the resident DJ in a beach bar in Corfu island in Greece. Some guys just have all the luck yeah? Anyway, it’s a great selection, a great mix, sit back and enjoy.

I’m sure we can all agree that some of the great moments in music is when you hear a new version of one of your old favourite songs. It’s a comfort thing I guess, a time to reminisce and maybe recall the past. Also to explore the new interpretation and hopefully enjoy a different perspective of a great song that you originally loved? We have picked out some of our favourite cover versions of late and created a selection for Radio Days. I found two rather nice redits also that have been big in my sets of late. We hope you enjoy this mix as much as we did putting it together.

Selecta "Badfish" Bence at the controls once again! Staff member Beno is a former reggae record shop owner and is still very much in love with reggae music today. Showing off a superb range of the more electronical dub 2 reggae styles here at Soul Seduction, Beno really has the knack. The boy certainly knows his onions and this selection is masterfully put together. Especially for me as after all the hard work putting together Radio Days 2007, I’m in need of a little lion talk, mediation and musical relief. Cheers Selecta, just what the doctor ordered.
