my life remixed-album sampler3 - thrill kill kult (12" Maxi)
release date: 6/2005
- sorry, we do not sell cd's or lp's any longer.
The third and final of the samplers taken from the most successful project in red ant history thus far, 'my life remixed', comprises of 3 tracks that are exclusive to vinyl only. Bryan zentz, a fan of the band since his teenage years, asked specifically to remix his favourite tkk track, 'waiting for mommy'. The mix we have right here is an extended dub, which has a lot of the elements of the original track, with just enough zentz thrown in to turn it into a dance floor monster. The flip sees project conceptualist ebon gets his hands dirty on the tkk classic disko fleshpot, an 80's summeresque digression, which will appeal to the purist indie cats also. Finally the ep gets put to bed by tampa electro wizard grumpy, who takes sex on wheels, possibly the most infamous tkk single, and turns it inside out, creating a sub-sonic bomb, which has to be heard in big sound to be really appreciated.....something for everyone, no of course not, but who said red ant ever was eh?

Days of swine & roses', one of their biggest hits, is masterfully reworked by messrs dustin fusilier, aka d:fuse, one of the us's biggest prog house gurus, and mike hiratzka, quickly becoming known as one of the worlds most sought after tribal/prog house engineers. The mix simply speaks for itself, and i have no doubt its possibly the finest work they have done together. The flip,' radio silicon' gets a makeover from yours truly ,pedro bonez, and st. Pete local hero anthony fonseca (of digital pimps fame),collectively knwon as 'freakus'. It's dark and dirty, as you would expect, with a huge sonic electronic bassline ,and sinister demonic wails galore
